LATEST DEVELOPMENT UPDATE!

The demolition of the old Reject Shop mall at Blackburn Square is now complete and works have begun on building a brand-new three-story addition to the centre.

The ground floor will house Aldi, a number of specialty stores and an all new casual dining precinct. The upper floors of this extension will include a number of services for the Blackburn community, with a Gym and leisure floor, Medical Centre, Community Centre and Childcare Centre all adding to the Blackburn Square offer.

Development is also underway on the Western side of the Woolworths building, with additions to include an Asian Grocery Store, Laundromat and a Woolworths direct to boot drive through facility.

The Blackburn Square redevelopment is coming together with stage 2 well and truly underway. The completion of this upgrade will greatly extend the centre’s offer, bringing in a range of retailers and services to benefit the local community.
